An individual has succumbed to their injuries after being on fire outside the US Embassy.
The Ottawa Police is investigating after emergency services responded to reports of a person on fire at Sussex Drive and Clarence Street on Oct. 4. Emergency crews tried to save them but they died of their injuries.
There is no word yet on the sex or approximate age of the person and police have not said how the person came to be on fire.
The incident is under investigation jointly by the OPS Arson Unit, Office of the Fire Marshall and the Coroner’s office.
Police tweeted that at this time, nothing indicates the incident is related to the US Embassy.
