Police asking for public’s help to identify two suspects in west end explosion, break and enter

Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects responsible for an explosion and subsequent break and enter on Woodroffe Avenue.

The crime happened on October 10, 2020 in the 2900 block of Woodroffe Avenue at about 12:45 a.m.

Police say at least two people attended a strip mall. The suspects created an explosion to blow the door off the front of a bank machine to access a large amount of money held within.

The explosion caused extensive damage to the targeted business and two adjacent businesses.

Police are looking for any information which may lead to the identities of the suspects involved.

Police are only able to provide limited descriptions of the suspects involved as there are no photos available.

  • The first suspect was wearing dark pants, white shoes and was dragging something, possibly a large bag.
  • The second suspect was wearing dark pants, dark shoes or boots and was carrying some sort of hose.
