UPDATE: Threat at Fellowes High School in Pembroke

By OttawaMatters Staff

The Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Upper Ottawa Valley has identified the source of a threat, directed to students at a Pembroke high school.

Police were called to Fellowes High School just before 7 a.m. Wednesday regarding an online threat.

Investigators said there was never any danger to the public or students at the school, and add that there were no disruptions to classes.

Police continue to investigate, while the Renfrew County District School Board is also looking into the incident.

In a separate incident late last month, threats were made to students at Valour High School in Petawawa through social media. A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with that case.
