Police locate and arrest federal offender wanted on Canada wide warrant

A man wanted on a Canada wide warrant for breaching his statutory release has been located and arrested.

Kevin Belanger is serving a sentence of six years and three months for impersonating a peace officer, fraud under $5,000, identity fraud, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, utter forged document, fail to comply with recognizance and using a badge to impersonate a peace officer.

Belanger was found and arrested in Gatineau on August 4.
