Update 07:27 a.m.: The Ottawa Police Service has located Aurel Poulin, 82, safe and sound after they received a call from the member of the public who located Mr. Poulin.
Ottawa police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 82-year-old man with dementia last seen in the Johnston Corners area in the city's south end.
On Tuesday, Aurel Poulin went missing around noon on Albion Road near Rideau Road and police say he may be disoriented due to his dementia.
He is known to frequent the Blossom Park area but could be anywhere in the city.
He is described as a Caucasian man, about 5'2" tall, slim to medium build, with short white balding hair and no facial hair (clean-shaven). He also has a distinct scar on his forehead.
Poulin was last seen wearing a white collared button-up dress shirt with blue stripes and grey pants.
He walks with a cane and may be wearing a Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap.
Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Poulin is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222.
