Police recover drugs, stolen items, and make arrests in North Glengarry bust

Four people are facing drug-related charges after OPP officers raided several homes in North Glengarry Township.

On Friday, the Community Street Crime Unit lead searches which resulted in the seizure of about $5,000 worth of speed pills, hydromorphone liquid, hydromorphone, marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth, and steroids.

Officers also turned up stolen property, including jewellery, a signed Conor McDavid jersey, a custom trailer and $1,400 in cash.

Alan Romaniuk, 22, of North Glengarry was arrested and charged with:

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (5 counts)
– Possession of property obtained by crime (3 counts)
– Possession of a controlled Substance (2 counts)
– Theft over $5000
– Break and Enter

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at Cornwall Court.

Vanessa Buss, 23, of North Glengarry, was arrested and charged with:

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (5 counts)
– Possession of property obtained by crime (2 counts)
– Possession of a controlled Substance (2 counts)

She was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on June 6.

Martin Desjardins, 32, of North Glengarry was arrested and charged with: 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (5 counts)
– Possession of a controlled Substance (2 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on June 6.

Anthony Lutz, 54, of North Glengarry was arrested and charged with: 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (5 counts)
– Possession of property obtained by crime
– Possession of a controlled Substance (2 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on June 6.

OPP officers are asking for the public assistance with identifying two additional recovered items: a case tractor and a camo trailer.
