Police respond to break and enter at new home construction site

On July 16, shortly before 6:30 a.m., Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a break and enter in progress at a new home construction site on Camden Portland Boundary Road in South Frontenac Township.

Officers located a vehicle in the area that was reported to have been at the construction site. As a result of the investigation, Christopher Jeffery, 47, and Jamie Cassibo, 40, were arrested and charged.

Jeffery was charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5,000 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

Cassibo was charged with:

  • Possession of schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 
  • Personation with intent to avoid arrest 

Both individuals were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston to answer to the charges.
