Police searching for bolt cutter-wielding Walkley Road robbery suspect

Officers say the suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman responsible for a robbery in the Heron Gate area.

Officers say a woman walked into a commercial business on Walkley Road, near Albion Road North, around 4 a.m., on November 15, armed with a bolt cutter and approached an employee, who was threatened and robbed.

The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.

No injuries were reported in the incident.  

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • About 250 lbs (113 kg)

She was wearing:

  • Maroon/red sweater with hoodie
  • Baggy camouflage pants
  • Black running shoes
  • Black baseball cap
  • Carrying a white/red and black reusable bag.
  • Carrying bolt cutters
