Police searching for suspect after theft at Blackburn Hamlet area business

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to identify a woman responsible for a commercial robbery on Innes Road, in the Blackburn Hamlet area.

Officers say a woman walked into a business, around 5:40 p.m. on November 17, stole merchandise and flashed a knife when she was confronted by employees.  

There were no reported injuries in the incident and the woman fled on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • White with a tanned complexion
  • Late 30s to early 40s
  • Medium build
  • 5' 6'' (168 cm)
  • Was wearing a black Adidas track suit with white stripes, black shoes and a black COVID face mask 
  • Was carrying a small black purse and a black duffle bag
