Public’s help needed to identify dead man found in Rideau River

The Ottawa Police Service is trying to identify the body of a man found in the Rideau River 10 days ago.

Police divers recovered a man's body in the water near Bordeleau Park on the morning of July 6. 

Investigators say the body had no ID information attached to it, no tattoo or jewellery, and does not match any current missing persons profiles.

The dead man is described as black, between 30 to 50-years old, 5' 8'', 144 lbs, with very short black hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with no logo on it. Investigators added that the man had hip replacement surgery on his right hip.
