The weekend has barely started and already police have been busy handing out tickets during Project NoiseMaker.

According to the Ottawa Police Service’s traffic unit, another 52 tickets were issued for offences like speeding, muffler infractions, no seat belt and cell phone violations, Saturday morning.

Breaking it down further, police say they issued 17 tickets for stunt driving alone. Among those who were stopped was a 21-year-old caught going 114 km/h in a 60 km/hr area on Heron Road.

The same driver was stopped a month ago going over 40 km over the speed limit.

Another driver was also stopped on Heron Road earlier Friday going 110 km/hr in the 60 km/hr zone.

Their licence was suspended for seven days and their vehicle impounded for 14 days.

A third driver was stopped on Riverside Drive at Walkley Road speeding at 109 km/hr in the 60 km/hr area.

“It’s all fun and games until your licence is suspended and you watch your car being towed away,” police tweeted.
