Second arrest made in Gatineau home invasion

A man in his fifties suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a break-in on Buckingham Avenue.

A 28-year-old man is facing 10 charges, including careless use of a firearm and assault, after a break-in at 356 Buckingham Ave. in Gatineau.

The incident happened on October 29, at around 4:30 p.m.

Gatineau police arrested Jason Stuart, Wednesday.

He is facing the following criminal offences:

- Break and enter
- Sequestration
- Removal
- Armed aggression
- Turning a firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Assault
- Extortion
- Harm
- Uttering threats

Stuart is still in police custody and will be in court in the coming days.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the home invasion on Monday.

Gatineau police say their investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
