The Ottawa Police Service is identifying a man, accused of sexually assaulting a 36-year-old woman inside her apartment.

Officials asked for the public's help last week, to identify a man wanted after an incident in the city's south end back on March 4.

Police explained that a man had made conversation with a woman outside of her apartment building that night, and followed her inside. When they got to her unit door, it's believed that he forced himself inside and sexually assaulted the woman.

Franck Irakoze, 19 of Ottawa turned himself in to police on Friday and is now facing two charges, including sexual assault.

He was in court over the weekend.
