Shooting under investigation near Ottawa's Sheffield Glen neighbourhood
     

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is hoping the public can give its officers some information regarding a shooting on Russell Road, just south of the turn off to St. Laurent Boulevard.

Officers responded to a call for shots fired in the area around 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17. 

Police say they interviewed a number of witnesses who confirmed the shooting. 

Officers found no damage to any property or anyone injured.

Two men were seen leaving the area in a dark sport utility vehicle (SUV).

They are described as:

Suspect #1:

  • Black
  • Approximately 5' 5'' (165 cm)
  • 25 to 30 years old
  • Athletic build
  • Shoulder-length dreads
  • Full beard
  • Light green t-shirt, black pants, black baseball cap, carrying a black shoulder bag

Suspect #2:

  • Black
  • Approximately 6' 4'' (190 cm)
  • 25 to 30 years old
  • Slim build 
  • Full beard
  • Shoulder-length dreads
  • Green, blue and red hoodie over his head, blue jeans, black shoulder bag

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area and may have dashcam footage or security footage.
