Smiths Falls police are charging two men: one for trafficking stolen goods and another after discovering large quantities of cannabis and methamphetamines.

Officers executed a warrant at a home on Russell Street West, on January 14, and found a man, wanted on several outstanding charges in Smiths Falls and Ottawa, hiding in an attic.

Police say Jordan Wilkinson, 32, had been previously charged with multiple counts of theft, involving credit cards. He was released on bail at a hearing and committed further offences of:

  • Breach of his recognizance of bail
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Trafficking in stolen goods
  • Trespass by night (four counts)

He is back in custody awaiting a bail hearing at a later date.

That same day, Smiths Falls police responded to reports of a man breaking into vehicles in the Empress Avenue area.

One man was arrested, and after further investigation, police say they found large amounts of cannabis and methamphetamines.

Frank Massey-Cook, 32, has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of Schedule I and II drugs
  • Trafficking in possession schedule I and II CDSA

Massey-Cook was held in custody for a bail hearing at a later date.
