Suspect identified in south Ottawa murder; police investigation continues

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Tristan Campbell, 34, of Ottawa, after a shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit is looking for a 34-year-old man in connection with a homicide in a South Keys neighbourhood.

A shooting on Patola Private near Cahill Drive on Sunday, at around 7:20 p.m., left one man dead and a 23-year-old woman injured.

The victim has been identified as Abdifatah Osman, 31, of Ottawa. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at hospital. She remains in stable condition.

Tristan Campbell, 34, of Ottawa is facing one count of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. He is considered armed and dangerous. 

Should anyone have any information regarding his whereabouts, police urge you to call 911 immediately -- do not approach Campbell.

There is no other information available at this time, as officers continue to investigate the incident.
