Suspected fentanyl among drugs seized in Hintonburg and Island Park

The Ottawa Police Service is charging three men after turning up suspected fentanyl powder, cocaine and methamphetamine tablets on Gladstone Avenue and Carleton Avenue.

The searches happened at two homes on February 12. 

All drugs are still to be analyzed by Health Canada.

As a result of the raids, Osman Ahmed, 23, Daniel Bond, 35, and Eric Cain, 35, all of Ottawa, face three counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule 1 substance. 

Ahmed and Cain also face charges of failure to comply with undertaking.

All three are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Further charges may be laid, as the police investigation continues.
