Teen arrested in rash of North Dundas break-ins

The Ontario Provincial Police in Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry have laid charges against a 17-year-old from North Dundas.

Officers responded to break-ins at multiple homes on Fred Street, Christie Lane and Annable Road in North Dundas back on August 24.

Their investigation showed that sometime overnight, someone entered several garages and sheds, and removed various alcoholic beverages, coolers, gas jerry cans, frozen meat as well as two mountain bikes. 

The Community Street Crime Unit of SD&G OPP arrested a young man in connection with the break-ins on Wednesday. 

The accused was arrested and is charged with;

– Break and Enter (five counts)
– Possession of Property obtained by crime
– Fail to Comply with conditions of an Undertaking
– Fail to comply with Probation (10 counts)

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
