Teen charged after vehicle clocked at 209 km/hr on 401

A Quebec 16-year-old is facing a pair of charges, including stunt driving, after a vehicle was spotted travelling 209 km/hr along Highway 401 in South Stormont.

OPP say the vehicle failed to comply with the request to stop and continued on until it was successfully intercepted by officers at approximately 1:02 p.m., Wednesday. 

The vehicle was impounded and the driver's permits were seized for seven days.

A teen from Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Quebec was arrested and is charged with:

– Flight while pursued by peace officers
– Stunt driving

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court on February 21, 2019.
