Teen ejected from car, seriously injured in Rideau Lakes crash

The OPP says a portion of County Road 42 was closed for several hours.

Officers with the Rideau Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a collision that in Rideau Lakes Township that injured two teens.

On September 24, 2018 at about 9:30 PM 

The OPP was called to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Monday at 9:30 p.m. on County Road 42, west of Noonan Road. 

A 2008 Subaru was eastbound on County Road 42 when the driver lost control and rolled the car into a ditch.

Police say the 17-year-old driver from North Grenville sustained minor injuries while a 16-year-old passenger, who was ejected, suffered serious injuries. 

The 16-year-old was taken to a Kingston hospital by ambulance. 

Another passenger, an 18-year-old from Lombardy, was not injured.

A portion of County Road 42 was closed in both directions for several hours to allow for the investigation.
