Theft and assault charges in Perth

Two men are facing a slew of charges, including theft and assaulting a police officer, after a rash of break-ins in Perth.

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to multiple calls from homes in the Rogers Road area on Tuesday, April 24. 

Through their investigation, officers found that all the properties and vehicles involved in the incidents had been broken into overnight on April 23 into April 24.

Personal items, electronic devices, cash and credit cards were stolen.

OPP said two suspects were arrested on April 25.

Tyler Johnston, 22, of Perth is charged with:

– Theft (10 counts)
– Break and Enter with Intent (nine counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Mischief Under $5,000 (three counts)
– Assault Police

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the provincial court in the Town of Perth.

Michael Bradford, 26, of Smiths Falls is charged with:

– Theft.
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Breach of a Probation Order (three counts) 

He was released to appear at the provincial court in the Town of Perth.
