Victims of theft in Pembroke asked to claim property

OPP officers want victims of robberies, which may have happened over the last two years, to drop by the Pembroke detachment and claim any goods that might be theirs.
  
The Community Street Crime Unit of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a Pembroke home on July 6. 

A 31-year-old Pembroke man was charged with several drug, weapons and property-related offences.

At the time, police made an appeal to previous victims of theft and break and enter to claim their stolen property, but there is still a list of seized items in police possession, including:

– Various hand and power tools including routers, sanders, drills and gas trimmers
– Saws including chainsaws, reciprocating saws, table and mitre saws
– Electronics including TV's, computers, tablets, iPads and cell phones
– Jewellery including men's and ladies rings, necklaces, and watches
– Miscellaneous items including USB drives, old coins, binoculars, building supplies, cameras, knives, and shop vacs

The Pembroke OPP Detachment is located at 77 International Drive in the City of Pembroke. Residents can show up there on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 14 and 15, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments are not required.

Those attending will have a chance to identify their stolen belongings. 

To assist in proving ownership of their items the victims are encouraged to provide proof of the following items associated to their property:

– Serial number and/or unique identifying markings on property
– Receipt and/or bill of sale
– Any other documentation or evidence supporting ownership of the property
