Woman wanted in luxury vehicle scam

Ottawa police say a woman used a fake ID and forged documents to obtain auto financing loans in order to purchase high-end SUVs at local car dealerships.

The Ottawa Police Service is searching for a woman who has fraudulently bought some luxury vehicles.

Police said the suspect purchased several high-end SUVs at local dealers through the months of January and February of this year. Officials explained she had been using fraudulent identification and forged documents to obtain auto financing loans in order to purchase the vehicles.

The woman is wanted on multiple counts of fraud over $5,000, theft of motor vehicle and other fraud-related offences relating to identity theft and uttering forged documents.

She is described as a white woman, with a slim build and long dark hair.
