Woman flown to hospital after serious crash in Upper Ottawa Valley

A crash on Snodrifters Road is under investigation by Upper Ottawa Valley OPP.

Officers responded to the serious collision in North Algona-Wilberforce Township, near Eganville, on Thursday September 27, at just after 2:30 p.m.

Police say a vehicle with three occupants came to rest on its side after it left the roadway and struck a tree. 

A 66-year-old woman from Laurentian Valley Township had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters from the Bonnechere Valley Fire Department. 

She was flown to hospital by ORNGE Air Ambulance with serious injuries. 

A 72-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle, was taken to hospital by paramedics with minor injuries, while a 3-year-old girl was not injured.
