Elite Taxi in Kemptville shutters eight months after opening

After launching in October 2020, Elite Taxi in Kemptville has made the decision to close as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elite Taxi owners Fletcher Wehmeyer and Mary Lynn Baker said in a Facebook post the decision to shut down just eight months after opening has been one of the hardest things they have ever had to do.

The owners added, the support from the community had been incredible from the start, but after two lockdowns and numerous unfortunate events, the decision to close had to be made.

The cars were officially put in park on Sunday, June 27.
