The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is calling on residents looking for a COVID-19 vaccine to give them a call, after the health unit beefed up its phone lines.
According to the health unit, residents were previously able to call or email for vaccine-related inquires, but the only way to access that information is now through its Vaccine Call Centre. The email service is no longer active as of Tuesday, April 27.
We've added more capacity on the LGL Vaccine Call Centre! The covid@healthunit.org email will be discontinued tomorrow. Existing inquiries will be answered. Call 1-844-369-1234 between 8:30am-4pm daily to book, cancel or change appointments and more: https://t.co/x6KEs85WoF pic.twitter.com/ldsIHTSm5O

The call centre is open to residents of Leeds, Grenville and Lanark counties and operates from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.
Residents are asked to call the centre for reasons such as booking, changing or cancelling an appointment, requesting a vaccination receipt post-jab, or to ask questions about eligibility.
Wait times now average 20 minutes while calls last about five.
Those looking for vaccine inquiries can contact the centre by calling 1-844-369-1234. The phone number is also available on the health unit's website.
