Serious motorcycle crash under investigation on Beachburg Road, east of Pembroke

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are at the scene of a serious single-vehicle crash on Beachburg Road in Whitewater Region.

Police say a westbound motorcycle lost control and crashed around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1.

Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries.

Beachburg Road is closed in both directions between Zion Line and Sturgeon Mountain Road.

Officers remain on scene and the investigation is continuing with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members.

Beachburg Road is expected to be closed until mid-afternoon on Wednesday, and local detours are in place.
