Sidewalk replacement begins on Lombard Street in Smiths Falls next week

Construction is set to begin on Lombard Street in Smiths Falls next week.
The Town of Smiths Falls says the construction, between Abbott Street and Ferrara Drive, is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 31.
The work involves sidewalk replacement on the south side of the street. It's part of a larger project which is expected to last about three months.
Lane reductions will be in place, and traffic delays are expected.
Town officials say signage will be in place to direct pedestrians safely through the construction zone.
