Smiths Falls man accused of trying to sell prescription drugs to police officer

Police in Smiths Falls have laid charges against a man accused of trying to sell prescription drugs to an plain-clothed officer.

According to the Smiths Falls Police Service (SFPS) a man attempted to sell hydromorphone to an officer in front of a local business on Friday, August 27.

Wayne Mallory faces the following charges:

Trafficking in a schedule 1 substance
Possession for the purpose of trafficking
Breach of a release order

He was released following a bail hearing and is due in court in Smiths Falls at a later date.
