By Dani-Elle Dubé

Youth between the ages of 12 to 17 who live under the Eastern Ontario Health Unit are now eligible as walk-ins to get their COVID-19 vaccines at any one of the vaccination clinics hosted by the health unit.

Starting today, youth who live in Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott-Russell, Cornwall and Akwesasne are able to get their shots without booking an appointment, but only between certain hours.

For clinics scheduled from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., youth walk-ins will only be accepted from 2 to 7 p.m., and clinics scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., walk-ins will only be accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Youth will be accepted for the first dose; or second dose if it has been eight to 16 weeks since getting their first, or according to the product monograph for First Nations, Metis, Inuit and youth with high-risk health conditions.
