‘Highly offensive’ graffiti in Carleton Place being investigated

The Lanark detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several incidents of graffiti in Carleton Place, Ont.

The spray-painted messages are “highly offensive,” police said, and were reported at various locations across the community on Saturday morning.

The messages included profanity, racial slurs and other offensive terms.

The areas where the graffiti is found are frequented by children and families, officials said.
