No injuries following vehicle fire on Highway 7 near Stittsville

There are no injuries reported following a vehicle fire near Stittsville.

The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene on Highway 7 near Hazeldean Road around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, where the highway meets the 417.

The driver, the lone occupant, was able to safely get out of the engulfed vehicle.

The vehicle was towed and the scene was cleared by 3:30 p.m.

Police told CityNews there fire was not the result of a collision.
