Crews quickly extinguish forklift fire in Ottawa’s Pepsi Cola building

A fire at the Pepsi Cola on Belfast Road has been quickly knocked down by firefighters.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to reports of a forklift on fire at 869 Belfast Road, between Trainyards Drive and St. Laurent Boulevard, on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Crews arrived within three minutes of being dispatched and contained the fire before it could spread.

The building was then ventilated due to smoke conditions.

There is no word on what caused the fire and no injuries were reported.
