Carleton students hold lunchtime demonstration

OTTAWA, Ont. – It was a feisty afternoon on the Carleton campus.

Some 50 angry students, representing about six different campus issues, held a lunch hour demonstration.

The various groups are together taking on the university administration.

One of the biggest beefs is the loss of public space on campus to private sector businesses that pay.

Students say the Atrium is down to eight tables campus clubs can book — but there are some 170 student run societies, that represent about 10-thosuand students
