There’s big news in Ottawa. On Monday, 1310News hit the air.
Ottawa is a growing and dynamic city and the listeners have been great to 1310 over the years, and while this may be the end of one era, it’s also the beginning of another.
“This AM signal is 70 years old, it’s got a tremendous heritage,” Scott Parsons, executive vice-president of Rogers Radio Ottawa said. “I think as we look forward this is the next step in taking 1310 in a brand new direction.”
1310News is an all-news radio station providing the latest information on the stories that matter to you.
We have breaking news when it happens, traffic and weather together on the ones, sports at 15 and 45 and business news at 26 and 56 past every hour.
Parsons adds you can get your news anytime online.
“We’ll be streaming it live over the internet and we’ll also be updating the internet with the stories as we break them on the air,” Parsons said.
1310 also has sister stations across the country to provide you with the best coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
And remember, as we always like to say, the news is always changing so check back with us, 3, 4, 5 times a day.
