Ottawa’s 2010-2011 ski season gets underway.

The wait is over for skiers and boarders in the Ottawa Region.

Most area ski hills are open this weekend.

Edelweiss, Camp Fortune, Mont Cascades, Ski Vorlage and Calabogie Peaks are all open for business.

The snow machines have been working overtime, taking advantage of recent cold conditions to put down a base layer.

With 5cm expected to fall tomorrow, hills are hoping to open more terrain in the coming week.
