OC Transpo Driver honoured for saving fire victims

Ottawa City Council is honouring an OC Transpo driver today for his quick actions during an apartment fire last week in Vanier.
Peter Paquette was driving the Number 5 route last Thursday when he spotted smoke coming from a third floor apartment on Lavergne street.
The former volunteer Firefighter stopped the bus, called 9-1-1 than ran up to the third floor kicking in the door and alerting tenants.
The suffered smoke inhalation and minor injuries from the forced entry.
