Christmas Day has finally arrived and little kids eyes are bursting with excitement and the realization that Santa made his way down the chimney last night.
But not everyone is cooking a big dinner tonight and some people don’t have family to share it with. For the 18th year A Westboro Institution opens it’s doors to the less fortunate, serving more than a thousand Christmas dinners at Moe’s Newport Restaurant at the corner of Richmond and Churchill.
Most people in Ottawa know the generosity of Moe Attallah of Moe’s Newport Restaurant. For 18 years he has opened on Christmas Day to offer a traditional Christmas dinner, entertainment, and good cheer to the needy, homeless or anyone who is alone for the holiday.
He told 1310News that the feeling of giving is second to nothing.
His doors will be open from 10AM until 5PM.
