Canadian terror suspect to fight extradition

The layer for an Iraqi-Canadian said his client will fight extradition to the United States, where he faces terrorism related charges.

However, it could take months to determine if Sayfildin Tahir Sharif will be sent to the U.S. to face Justice. Sharif, 38, is in custody in Edmonton where he was arrested two days ago by the Mounties on a request by the FBI.

He is due back in court January 27 for a bail hearing.
