Pharmacy robbery on Merivale Road

A west-end pharmacy has been robbed at knifepoint.

It happened shortly before 3 p.m. at the pharmacy inside Loblaws on Merivale Road, near Baseline. The thief pulled a knife and demanded drugs. He ran off with an unknown amount of oxycontin.

Police say the man is described as white, 30 years old, English speaking, medium build, unshaven, wearing an American Eagle cap, N95 medical mask, dark blue hooded jacket with grey stripes in the shoulder area, white running shoes, light blue jeans and gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
