When MPs headed back to the House Of Commons on Monday the word used over and over again was “election”. However, some people think that the political parties are all talk and no walk.
Nik Nanos, from Nanos research, told 1310News that if Canadians headed to the polls soon the result would likely be another Conservative minority government.
Nanos said he doesn’t think that that is enough for Stephen Harper, who he suspects wants a majority government.
Nanos said that he believes the Prime Minister may toss the opposition a budget bone in order to prevent an election. He added that with the Liberals seven points behind the Tories they aren’t in the strongest position either.
