Fire breaks out at Chateau Laurier overnight

A preliminary investigation shows a faulty light fixture is to blame for a small fire at the Chateau Laurier.
It happened in the ceiling of a sauna overnight Friday and caused about $12,000 damage.
Luckily, the fire was contained by a masonry structure that surrounds the sauna.
Rooms at the hotel had to be evacuated, but guests only had to wait in the lobby for about 20 minutes.
The hotel was more than 90 per cent capacity at the time.
No injuries were reported.
