NORAD conducting training exercises over the Capital

Don’t be shocked if you see fighter jets in the sky Thursday morning.
A joint military exercise involving Canadian and American fighter jets will take place over Eastern Ontario.
The North American Aerospace Defence Command, known as NORAD, will be conducting training flights from Northeastern Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts to the area between Ottawa and Montreal.
Fighter jets will be flying closely to a U.S. Air Force C-21, which looks like a private plane.
NORAD says the purpose is to practice identification and interception techniques.
These exercises are carefully planned, closely controlled and include exercising airspace restriction violations, hijackings and responding to unknown aircraft.
