Conference centre fire causes $200,000 in damages

A fire has scorched a conference centre at 170 Colonnade Rd. near West Hunt Club Road.
The fire started late Friday afternoon in a second-floor office at the Centurion Conference and Events Centre. Ottawa fire tells 1310 news, the fire was limited to the one office but there is smoke and heat damage throughout the second floor.
No injuries were reported. Damage to the building is estimated at $200,000. Fire services continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
