A 29-year-old Ottawa man has a court date today after being picked up at the Sensplex yesterday. An off-duty detective noticed the man, and recognized him as a man wanted on a number of charges.
A uniformed officer was called in to make the arrest and the man was taken into custody without incident. Police say he had a break and enter tool with him at the time of his arrest and was driving a stolen vehicle.
They suspect he had intended to break into lockers at the Sensplex. Robert Fisher faces more than 70 criminal charges ranging from break and enter to fraud and theft.
He is being investigated for several other break-ins across the city and police expect more charges to come.
