United Way’s Kindness Week kicks off

This week is Kindness Week in Ottawa.
The United Way Ottawa initiative is meant to recognize those who are generous with their time and engage in everyday acts of kindness.
Although many local residents did not seem to know about the week, everyone has at least one story involving random acts of kindness or a kind deed for a neighbhour or someone in need.
Linda Alford says we really don’t need a week to commemorate kindness.
She says every week should be Kindness Week.
