Anti-graffiti program appears not to be hitting the mark

It seems as though a $50,000 dollar city initiative to curb the problem of graffiti just isn’t working.

The “Paint It Up” program – run by Crime Prevention Ottawa – funds nine outdoor murals to prevent graffiti vandalism in other areas and help beautify communities.

But one councillor says his ward in Beacon Hill-Cyrville still saw 403 incidents on public property last year.
