Suspect in custody after fatal stabbing

A 46 year old woman was stabbed to death Friday morning in the west end.
Police say a 56 year old man is in custody although no charges have been laid yet.
The incident happened around 7:20 this morning at a home on Fisher Avenue.
Victor Stanley, the next door neighbour tells 1310News that the couple were short tempered, causing a dispute over Stanley’s dogs. he kept his distance from his neighbours until this morning,
“All-of-a-sudden I hear this blood curdling scream at 7 o’clock in the morning! I’ve seen horror movies, but I’ve never heard anything like that, and I hope I never hear it again”
Police spent most of the say at the resident as forensics conducts they’re investigation. Officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
