Canucks clinch Northwest Division title

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Henrik Sedin scored the game winner in the third period to lead the Canucks by Colorado 4-2. Coach Alain Vigneault has led the squad to four Northwest titles in the last five seasons.

Alex Burrows and Henrik were part of the Canucks’ three goal final period which led Vancouver to its seventh straight win. The captain is now tied for second place in the NHL scoring race with Tampa’s Steven Stamkos, six points back of Daniel Sedin who contributed two assists in the win.

Maxim Lapierre scored his first goal of the season on a feed from fellow trade deadline pick up Christopher Higgins in the second period for Vancouver.
