Ottawa transit users bring concerns to City Hall

About 200 transit users showed up at Ottawa City Hall to address their concerns about dozens of proposed OC Transpo route changes.

However, chairwoman Diane Deans told the public meeting on Tuesday night that the changes were not necessarily “set in stone.”

David Jeanes, spokesman of Transport Action, wasn’t buying it. Jeanes noted a number of problems with the proposed changes aimed at saving the city $22,000,000 annually, in particular creating problems for anyone with work or school outside of regular hours.

The next public meeting is slated for Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Kanata recreation complex at 100 Walter Baker Place.
